Trump Destroys Media as Lapdogs of Biden, Left: It’s ‘The Beginning of Communism’

Former President Donald Trump said Tuesday he doesn’t think the U.S. media is a reliable purveyor of facts and instead has become a politicized organ of Democrats.

In an interview with conservative talker Michael Savage, Trump, who used to have a good relationship with the media and entertainment industry prior to becoming president, initially responded to a question about whether he believes the country is “melting down” under President Joe Biden.

“It is,” Trump said, going on to point the finger at the major media he believes is covering up for Biden.

“If you look at the border, if you look at what’s going on with justice, if you look at all of the things that are happening – and frankly if you look at the media – where the media is a closed media,” the 45th president said.

“We don’t have an open and free media anymore,” he charged.

Trump went on to criticize the media for being incurious regarding the negative effects of the Biden administration’s immigration, economic, and foreign policies.

“They don’t want to hear anything,” Trump told Savage. “They don’t write about it.

“It’s collusive. Nobody’s ever seen anything like it. It all happened during this period of time,” he continued.

Trump said the media refused to cover the candidate Biden as well as other scandals swirling around his son, Hunter Biden, while hyper-focusing on his administration and the COVID-19 pandemic.

“It happened just before the election,” Trump said. “They wouldn’t talk about certain subjects. You know better than anybody, Michael. You know, that’s the beginning of communism.”

He repeated a familiar allegation — that the 2020 election was “rigged” against him — while also railing against a Justice Department he believes was weaponized against him, his administration, and his supporters. He also lamented the loss of the country’s energy independence under Biden’s anti-fossil fuel agenda.

“And we had it, the election, and we got them by surprise in 2016 and they said, ‘it would never happen again,’ and they cheated, and they dropped ballots and all that stuff that you’re not afraid to talk about, but a lot of people are afraid to even mention it, and it’s true,” Trump said.

He also predicted that the election audits in Arizona and Georgia are going to produce “determinative” election irregularities and fraud.

“And even the polls: They said I was going to lose in Wisconsin by 17-19 points. They did that four years ago and I won Wisconsin, and they did it again,” said Trump.

He railed at pollsters for media organizations such as The Washington Post and ABC News, describing them as “crooked” and “corrupt people” who are making America a “very corrupt country.”

“You know what that does? That keeps people home,” he said. “They say, ‘we love the president, but if he’s going to lose by 17?’ And, in my opinion, I won the state.”

Trump concluded by saying he didn’t like the direction Biden was taking the country, once again teasing a 2024 bid.

“This country to going to a level of left that nobody can imagine, including Bernie Sanders, who’s going around saying, ‘I can’t believe this stuff is happening,’” Trump said, adding, “there’s no mandate for him to change our country.”

“This is far more than he ever talked about. He wouldn’t be able to talk about this,” he continued.

It all comes back to the propping up of Biden by “the press and the media and the Big Tech of course,” Trump said.

“But the press they just play right into the hands. They won’t talk about it. You could find the worse things ever, with regard to the other side, they will never write about it. It’s unbelievable. But, maybe at some point, they have to, because people are seeing it. So we’ll see what happens.”
