An Arizona Republican who is running for Secretary of State was booed and walked off stage at a TPUSA “Rally to Protect Our Elections Rally” in Phoenix on Saturday.

“I am running to be your next Secretary of State,” Ugenti said over boos. “I am going to win the primary. Thank you very much.”

Michelle Ugenti recently provoked the wrath of Trump backers and election integrity advocates by blocking a wish list of Arizona Republican measures. A local NBC reported named Brahm Resnick noted the reason for Ugenti’s unpopularity at the event.

“GOP Secretary of State candidate ⁦Michelle Ugenti is booed off stage at TPUSA rally for Trump,” Resnick reported. “She opposed GOP lawmaker’s wish list for election changes.”

Donald Trump recently called out “RINOs” who were blocking more stringent election integrity laws in Arizona. In particular, Trump lashed out at a Republican he argues is obstructing the independent audit of Maricopa County.

“Republican Arizona State Senator Paul Boyer, a RINO if there ever was one, is doing everything in his power to hold him the damning Forensic Audit of Maricopa County which has been taking place of the last 90 days,” Trump said.

“The people of Arizona are demanding it,” he continued. “Boyer has been nothing but trouble, and nobody knows why.”

“All we demand is Voter Integrity!” Trump added. “He is being primaried by a strong and highly respected challenger, former Arizona State Representative Anthony Kern.”

In early July, Paul Boyer and Michelle Ugenti Rita killed vital election integrity bills in the Arizona Senate.
