looking for a guide dvi to vga

i just got a acer aspire l51100 media center pc thing it was sulposed to come vith a dvi to vga adapter but it didnt so i have to make one

but id rather have something that shows the actualy wires from a vga cable and a dvi cable like what color goes where ect

im going to be splicing a dvi cable to a vga cable

because all of our money is going to moving plus i have a dvi cable but no dvi monitor/tv which i can also put back to gether when i get a flatscreen monitor/tv and 2 working and 2 non working crt monitors plus a exstension vga
