Disable E-mail Confirmation Temporarily

So, a user requested me to send the confirmation e-mail again since they couldn't find the e-mail send from Totse. I think there might be some problems with Gmail etc since they trash can our e-mails.
Btw I am not getting e-mail from Totse.info in my Gmail account. Can anyone confirm that they are getting e-mails from Totse.info?
Moving on, I think we should disable the e-mail confirmation temporarily to see of it helps in increasing the traffic. We already have capcha in place and if required we could add new users in moderation queue. Also, we can add more moderators to cope with the flood.
So, what do you guys think. I can implement the change and approve previous pending accounts [70+ users pending] and remove the e-mail confirmation.
