Are there any non-linear editing communities out there?
I'm a film student that will hopefully graduate this winter, if everything goes right. Like a majority of the students here, I'm interested in post-production. Particularly, non-linear film editing. Not visual effects or anything like that.
Are there any communities out there that provide projects for everybody to work on and then compare, or something like that? Maybe provide open-source films? I just don't have much to work with here at school, since I'm not much of a cinematographer/director. I would just like to get some more practice.
