From the Makers of Saw comes yet another useless flick full of torture porn and bucket full of gore. Well, not exactly. I had The Collector on my HD for quite some time and I would usually prefer other flicks over this for unknown reasons. Therefore, tonight when I felt sleepy I decided to watch and delete this movie for more hard disk space.
Turns out, this movie is fantastic. It has all the ingredients for making a quality horror/thriller movie. You see gore, some nice tits, violence and screams but they are all balanced. In fact, you won’t even notice anything in excess. Although the hero/villains [whatever you want to call him] does seem to have some super human strength but let’s not go there. The whole point of this movie is to have fun.
I am sure if you look closely, you will spot some major holes but, hey you have to compromise on something, it’s not like we see killers doing this type of shit IRL or on a regular basis. The traps were simple yet effective and house seemed big enough to house them all.
Overall, I enjoyed this flick. Fans of Saw or gore lovers will enjoy this movie.
