I have some experience researching HIV (the virus that causes AIDS) and could try to help explain concepts related to the virus. I am pretty sure most questions can be answered with a search so try to avoid basic fact questions (what does it look like, how large is its genome, etc.) unless it is out of your field and you need help understanding the underlying concepts needed to grasp the answers to those types of questions (I read that HIV mutates quickly, but why does it?).

Via contaminated blood, sexual intercourse, in utero, at birth or by breast feeding, but hey, just get a bone marrow transplant from someone who's a match for you and is homozygous for the CCR5 Δ 32 gene and you're laughing.
More likely people (africans) eating monkeys (cannibalism).
I was always wondering if we could throw siRNA or miRNA at a stable region of HIV?
