It's a guest room.
My friend's studying forensics and had to purchase one of those expensive blood kits. He used a UV flashlight and there was a faint mark of a huge blood splatter on the wall and blood dripping on the floor. We peeled off the paint from the wall and then used the UV light again. The blood was highly visible.
He came to the conclusion that someone was struck at the wall and limped his/her way out the room. The paint was painted over old white paint. So whoever might've done it was in a rush and didn't peel off the old paint and use the enamel thingy. I don't know much about paint but I know you gotta use some paint-like thing to make it stick.
