What's good about Totse?

ITT - you must post one thing you like about Totse.

Hopefully this thread will make it clear to everyone what we're doing right. I was going to include things which we're doing wrong, but they're already being covered by Dfg in his almighty checklist.

I like the speed and stability of the site. Obviously the server we are on is great, and the site seems to have been optimized very well. Love the fast loading times :D

    I like that totse.info is progressing and growing, it makes me feel like I bet on the right horse. Also I like that the layout and colors are the same as the original totse, just wouldn't be the same otherwise.

    Also to not derail this thread, I like the fact we can talk about anything. Free speech has a home for life here. I mean, who the fuck can have a decent conversation about drugs, pedophilia or other vices without a retarded comeback and a slap to the face?

    This is what's good about Totse:
    1. Open a really long textfile, for example this one.
    2. Click and hold with your scroll button on the middle of the page.
    3. Drag down.
    4. Watch the background. Faster, faster, slower, slower, stop, faster, faster ...


    ISN'T THAT JUST THE COOLEST EVER???
    Name one other forum with this cool a background.


    That's why Totse is the best.

    That's why Totse is the best.

    What the shit, that's amazing :D Why does this happen? If you get it right, you can actually stop the background from scrolling altogether.

    It's the same principle as wheels stopping spinning and spinning backwards in movies and when lighted with fluorescent lights (or other pulsed lightsources).
    On a computer screen, you don't see a true scrolling image, you see a pulsed image of let's say 80 Hz. When you get the scroll speed just right the background matches up with the frequency of your screen and every one of those 80 flashes shows the exact same background with a different text. Your brain makes this into one continuous film with scrolling text and a solid background.
