Make an Exploding Light Bulb

The exploding light bulb is a simple but effective booby-trap. It's not always lethal but you can be sure it will ruin there day. This is a short how to guide because this is so easy to do. It's very hard to mess this up.

What you'll need

1. A lightbulb
2. Black Powder or other explosive
3. Socket
4. An electrical socket

Process

1. First your going to have to drill a small hole in the top of the lightbulb.
2. Nest you just pour in the Black Powder or explosive of your choice into the lightbulb.
3. Make sure there is enough in there to touch the filament. This is important because if it's not touching the filament it wont blow up immediately.
4. Wipe any excess powder off the bulb so it looks normal.
5. Make sure the lamp is off before you plug it in or the victim will be you!
6. Plug it in and when the person turns on the lamp it will explode.

Wow, this actually exists. In grade 10, for science class we were playing with lightbulbs, and a friend of mine took an entire case and decided to toss them around and smash them. I came up with a thought to put gunpowder inside the lightbulbs and make lightbulb bombs. Didn't think it needed to be powered, but I guess I was close.

The same concept can be used to make electrical ignitables by smashing the heads of Christmas lights. They work in the same manner as those electric things that come with model rocket engines.

You probably won't need a pipe cutter, if you can carefully smash the glass without busting the internals.
