Yes it was. It was better than SA for sure and it absolutely raped GTA4 in every way. GTA4 just sucked and took itself to seriously. The Ballad of Gay Tony did redeem GTA4 a bit though. The lost and the damned wasn't bad either.
I actually liked GTA4 for its gameplay as well as graphics. It annoys me when people bitch about the driving.
They bitch because the driving was bullshit. Slipping and sliding everywhere. When half the missions are chases or timed it makes it even worse. The graphics and ragdoll physics when people would get run over or shot were awesome though.
