The vast majority of the 10 House Republicans who broke ranks to vote in favor of impeaching former President Donald Trump for an unprecedented second time earlier this year now each face multiple primary challengers, and in most of those cases, the incumbents will need more than just a little luck to hang onto their seats.

And what’s more, many of the challengers already have the backing of Trump, whose endorsement has been electoral gold for GOP candidates, even after he left office.

Trump has pledged to campaign against those who voted to impeach him and has begun to make endorsements of other candidates ahead of the 2022 midterms who back his ‘America First’ agenda.
“Instead of attacking me and, more importantly, the voters of our movement, top establishment Republicans in Washington should be spending their energy in opposing Biden, Pelosi, Schumer and the Democrats,” Trump said during his speech at CPAC in February.
“Get rid of them all,” he added.
Of the 10, nine have primary challengers and again, in most cases, multiple challengers.
The most high-profile Republican member whose seat is in danger is Rep. Liz Cheney, recently ousted as the No. 3 GOP member in the chamber as head of the Republican Conference.
Here biggest challenger is State Sen. Anthony Bouchard, who so far has raised the most money, surpassing $500,000. He told Fox News that Cheney’s impeachment vote “made it obvious … to everyone” that “she has not had a conservative vote in Washington.”
Rep. Tom Rice of South Carolina is facing several primary challengers. They include Myrtle Beach Mayor Mark McBride and state Rep. William Bailey, as well as conservative influencer Graham Allen.
“I think that President Trump showed the world that you don’t have to be a politician to become a politician,” Allen told Fox News in a recent interview.
“Tom Rice forgot his place,” Allen noted further. “It’s Tom Rice’s job to be the conduit – that is the voice – of the people that he represents. He did not do that.”
Moving on, Rep. Jaime Herrera Beutler of Washington has at least four primary challengers, including former Green Beret Joe Kent.
“Rep. Beutler voted for the impeachment of President Trump based on a false narrative that Trump inspired an armed insurrection against the Capitol,” Kent said in an email to Fox News. “But the facts don’t matter to the left or Rep. Beutler.”

Another familiar name, Rep. Adam Kinzinger of Illinois, is being challenged by Catalina Lauf, 27, who worked in the Trump administration in the Commerce Department. She has slammed him as a “fake Republican.”
“Others who voted to oust Trump and are facing challenges ahead of the 2022 elections include Rep. Dan Newhouse, R-Wash.; Rep. Anthony Gonzalez, R-Ohio; Rep. Fred Upton, R-Mich.; Rep. Peter Meijer, R-Mich.; Rep. David Valadao, R-Calif.; and Rep. John Katko, R-N.Y.,” USA Features News added.
The GOP primary battles featuring several pro-Trump candidates come as the former president and still head of the party met with Rep. Jim Banks, R-Ind., Thursday to strategize about how to regain the House.
“We believe we take back the majority by focusing on the Trump agenda, and President Trump plays a big role in that,” Banks said after the meeting.
“He’s obviously planning to go out and hit the road and campaign for candidates who share our vision, and we were excited to talk to him about that.”
