1 tab LSD
3 or 4 cans of beer
contant steady smoking of weed all day
31/7/03
Packing began at mid day, we had aimed to be camping by then but
had gotten too high the night before and slept in. We had a few
rounds of bongs and buckets and set off, after searching for a
camp place for about an hour we returned to Continuitys village
and met his aunt who was able to give us directions to a good
area we could camp in. We pulled into Bridge of Garry carpark about
3 took a bong and headed into the woods to find a spot to pitch
the tent. We walked along a path for about 10 mins climbed a steap
hill where we stopped for a couple of rounds of bongs and to take
in the view across the vally which the river snaked along, we then
proceeded up till we found a nice open flat expance which we
decided was going to be our camp. We returned to the car to gather
our gear and had camp fully set up by around 5 or 6. Continuity and
I went on a firewood collecting round while Missed and Elder set
up the tent. We fucked around for a couple of hours, having a 30 min
smoking session in the tent from which I emerged in my boxers (due
to the heat inside the tent) weilding an axe, I spent the next 10
or 20 minutes solid hacking a fallen branch in my black silk boxers
yellow 'Pouchie' anime style top and trainers. Once I had finally
made it through the branch, by which time everyone had come to watch
me do, we sat around the fire feeding the munchies with beans and sausage,
pizza, toast and finally duck which were all cooked by Missed over an open
fire using a rack made by me and himself fashioned from wood. Continuity and I
dropped our LSD (about 8:30) then Elder and I went to the car for the last
time to pick up a quilt and Continuitys .22 air rifle. Once we
returned with the gun and cover we went on a final wood collection
from a huge fallen silver barked tree, this was about 30-45 mins
I recon after Continuity and I had dropped out tabs suddenly it
seemed to come over me, the whole little vally the fallen tree lay
in was beautiful, I was lost for words. We spotted another fallen
tree on the opposite side of the path to the silver firewood tree. This
tree bridged the bottom few feet of the vally which was filled with
ferns, moss inches thick and an army of spiders, I climbed up and
started to cross but had to jump off 5 seconds later to avoid
falling 'Ha! I've got anti slip soles, I'll be fine' Missed shouted
behind me but the trip was kicking in now and I paid little
attention. I looked up at the sky and the trees reaching upto it,
blurring and mixing colours together. I ran over to Continuity who
was standing on the stump of the silver tree gazing all around, I
joined him and resumed my position staring at the tree tops for
a few minutes before I noticed the car headlights on the road on
the other side of the river, we then collected our last batch of
firewood and headed back to camp.
Unfortunatly I felt sitting in the tent that the fire should hold
nothing for me vizually, it seemed to keep me from tripping
it seemed to real, an archor, it didn't dance how I wished it would so I
retired to the tent for a bong and the others came in a few minutes
later, Missed being the last as he was setting up the fire and finishing
his beer. We settled into a small session. This was when my trip
fully kicked in, I had a bucket and felt the need to lie upside
down my eyes began to water though so I had to sit up agian and it
took about 2 mins for them to stop which didn't bother me as the
water running down my face and the effect the tears with the lights
felt and looked fantastic. I can't remember much in the tent, the
next thing I know we were outside again, we had a few bongs Missed
and Elder continued to drink. After standing outside watching
mostly the car headlamp across the river and seeing police car lights
explode and glow all over the whole vally then dying repeatedly till it was
out of sight. Elder went into the tent to get something but re-emeraged
and complained it was soaking wet inside, quickly Missed went inside
to try and rescue the tent, he came back out after a while and said it
was saved and suggested we stayed outside and got high. We did for a
while but decided to go back inside I was 1st in since Chris had been in
and I couldn't see anything wrong, the tent looked fine. Everyone save
Missed who was piling the last of the firewood on and finishing his beer
got in then I realised why Missed wanted me to stay outside, my bag had gotten
soaked the worst of all. We passed the bong to and fro Missed passed out 1st
we had another couple of rounds before we lost the last lighter, we started
to look for it but Elders candle went out and we were left in the dark.
We kept searching for lighters for what seemed like ages, occasionally Missed
would suggest we 'Just fuck it and goto sleep' which was unlikly while
I was tripping as hard as I was. Between Continuity, Elder and myself
we decided to leave camp for Daves house and come back early in the morning
for what stuff we couldn't carry. Missed finally agreed to come after some
persuding.
We left the tent I took a burning stick from the fire and Elder, Missed
and Continuity lit candles hoping the light would be enough to get us to the path which lay about 50 foot away from the tent. After taking no more than a
douzen steps my flaming stick snaps and had all but died by the time
Missed has put out the fire andcaught up with me. We walked slowly towards the path, but of course it being pitch black and nothing but a candle and
a mobile phone left for light we missed it. After we realised this
we decided we had to continue up the hill instead of turning back
which would lead towards the steap hill we had climbed earlier. We
took off slowly and I managed to pick my way though by walking ahead
of the others while they flicked lighters and when I found this
impossible Missed would stumble drunkenly and carelessly through stopping
10 or 20 feet ahead and holding up his phone to guide us.
We reached what seemed to be a high point and decided to stop turn
out all lights and let our eyes adjust, we waited about a minute in
vain. We had already spent about 20 mins more than the walk should
have taken and we hadn't even reached the small road which lead for
another 10 minutes or so down to the car. We set off agian but
during the couple of minutes at the small peak I got the fear,
the conversations ranged from one of us perishing into the enterance
to the Underdark which seemed highly likly with all the spiders
around, an attack of Deep ones as in the HP Lovecraft books about
Dagon and plunging into some swamp, pool or river. Lucky my fears
were lifted only a few mins after they had set in, within seconds
of Continuity querying why we hadn't hit the road yet Missed crashed
straight into a wall, over which was the road. We yeld and cheerd
at finding the road 'Check how high it is before you jump over'
Continuity said but before he ended the sentance Missed replied 'I'm over
already and I myself was setting foot on the other side. At the top the road
had no marking at the sides so every so often someone would stumble
off into some bushes or not notice a turn in the road. Luckly I'm blessed
with good night vision so I went ahead and kept us right for the rest of
the way. Red, amber and green lights shone through the
trees in what seemed like ever changing combinations, neither I nor
Continuity could accept them as traffic lights and the others
agreed. After watching these lights I noticed the road had markings
and within a second or two we were on the juntion of another road
confused by the lights which had been dismissed as train track
lights on a bridge over the river we took a right and walked for
10 minutes or so by a huge house and down into darker and deeper
countryside. Everyone began to snap, when we knew we were going the
wrong way and we were fucked and had to turn back which ment at least
the 10 minutes walking back. Cars past and we decided to try and stop
one and find out just where we were, a couple went past before anyone
actually put there had out and it was a taxi that turned the corner,
with it's for hire sign on, I couldn't believe how lucky we were. But
no, that would be premature, it drove straight by us so we walked on.
We apporached the lights and quickly realised we were
not near any train tracks but the traffic lights at the end of the
bridge and we were not more than 50 feet from the car, running now
we reached it and quickly we got in lost our soaked shoes, socks and
jeans and waited. I was almost happy watching the traffic lights
through the pane of glass sprakled with rain but there was no way
any of us wanted to spend the night there so we left. The journey
was great the cats eyes and signs all along the road lit up, split
up divided and crossed and such a speed I could not believe I was
in my friends car (who I thank for getting us back that night)
we reached Continuitys home by about 12:30 and greeted his father
in nothing but T shirts and boxers.
We all raced into the bedroom, closing the door, barricading it
against everything outside, Missed was in bed and asleep within 5
minutes, Elder sat up for a joint before he to slowly but surely
fell asleep leaving Continuity and I tripping harder than we realised.
We both sat not knowing what we wanted to do, finally we decided latte would
be a good idea but had to have cauppucino instead (which was the
best I think I've ever tasted, I think it was due to the acid
because I went out and bought them and the don't taste half as good
as I remembered). We sat with the coffees for a while trying
endlessly to fill the bucket kit which seemed impossible, we
couldn't seem to get through the process of going to the bathroom
to fill it, I couldn't decide if I wanted one which I never can
when tripping, after about 15 mins of almost going we finally done it
and settling down to buckets and FnL. We continuted though the night
watching mostly Love Hina, Toyko Underground, Ghost in the
Shell:Stand Alone Complex and Full Metal Panic. During the time in
the room the trip seemed to kick back into effect, Continuitys
background picture of an eye blinked and moved, patterns on the walls
and bed spread opened out and contracted, twisted and turned. We
finally went to sleep at 5am decided we couldn't hold off the 'pop'
(come down) any longer by smoking weed. We were woken at 10am to
return for all the gear we had left, the camp was a mess, the forest
around looked terrible so we did our best and gatherd all the rubbish
that hadn't been spread about in the night into a fire and quickly left
hoping never to return.
