Kelli Ward Threatens Arrests If Officials Do Not Comply In Audit

Arizona Republican Party Chairwoman Kelli Ward has had it with what she sees as an obstruction in the Maricopa County, Arizona, election audit.

And now she is threatening action.

“There have to be consequences,” she said during an appearance on One America News. “There could be arrests of people who are refusing to comply.”

It’s the latest drama to encompass the audit of the 2.1 million ballots in the state’s largest county, which has featured false allegations votes were destroyed and conspiracy theories alleging the ballots were shredded and eaten by chickens, who were then killed to cover up the evidence.

Ward’s comments came after the Republican-controlled Board of Supervisors for Maricopa County refused to attend a meeting Tuesday with GOP senators who had demanded the audit. The board called the audit was a ‘sham’ run by ‘grifters’ that cast doubts upon the democratic process.

The drama in Maricopa County, Arizona, continues.

The GOP-led Arizona Senate served a new subpoena to Maricopa County officials seeking routers for its audit of the 2020 presidential election.

The enforcement of the subpoena of election materials from Maricopa County depends upon achieving a majority vote in the chamber.

But Arizona GOP State Sen. Kelly Townsend says it’s “unlikely” due to a reported GOP holdout.

Townsend says the enforcement of the subpoena depends upon a unified Republican vote in the chamber, which she claimed is currently just out of reach.

“The only way we are allowed to enforce the subpoena is to be in session and take a vote as the entire Senate body who holds the Board of Supervisors in contempt, and we need a majority of 16 to pass,” Townsend said.

She added: “We only have 15 votes, so it’s unlikely we will be able to enforce this subpoena, either.”

“The dissenting vote is Sen. Paul Boyer,” she added.

GOP State Sen. Paul Boyer is the lone Republican hold out.

Without his vote, the lower chamber can’t vote in favor of serving the subpoena to Maricopa County officials seeking routers for its audit of the 2020 presidential election.

Boyer has made it quite clear he’s a Never-Trumper.

In an interview with The Western Journal, Arizona state Senate President Karen Fann revealed that the audit of the 2020 presidential election in Maricopa County has uncovered a slew of questionable practices that cannot go unchecked.

One of the most shocking revelations came when Fann revealed that ballots had been shoved into boxes and presented to the auditors.

“The ballots, when they showed up, literally, they are in boxes that are literally just stuffed in there,” Fann said. “They’re supposed to be organized. There’s supposed to be these pink sheets between that says there are certain numbers there, a certain number of ballots there. There weren’t.”

“So the auditor, literally, in trying to preserve everything the exact way it is, had to, like, very carefully take [the ballots] out to do what we needed to make sure we put them back exactly as we found them, even though it was a mess,” Fann added.

“They withheld the blue tally sheets,” she said. “We have not gotten the chain of custody [documentation for ballots]. We have not gotten the routers, the passcodes, the fobs.”

Fann also revealed that Maricopa County officials have not even been able to access certain necessary information.
