The Biden Administration is basically giving up on the stranded Americans in Afghanistan considering the State Department is now admitting that they have no resources to rescue the trapped Americans.

Responding to claims that it is blocking flights carrying Americans and lawful permanent residents (LPRs) from leaving Mazar-i-Sharif (MAZ) airport in Afghanistan, the Biden administration’s State Department reportedly admitted that it has few resources available to facilitate the evacuation and that they have no “reliable” information about the trapped flights.
As The Daily Wire noted Sunday, there are conflicting reports as to who is preventing planes carrying individuals rescued by a non-governmental organization (NGO) from taking off from MAZ.
Individuals associated with an organization handling the flights said that the State Department is the only obstacle to the chartered planes leaving the airport, but sources close to the situation told The Daily Wire Sunday that while the State Department is not negotiating landing zones, the Taliban is also making significant demands, effectively creating a “hostage situation” on the ground in Afghanistan.
According to the Washington Free Beacon however, who spoke with a State Department official, the State Department has no resources to help Americans on the ground.
“We do not have personnel on the ground, we do not have air assets in the country, we do not control the airspace—whether over Afghanistan or elsewhere in the region,” the official said. “We understand the concern that many people are feeling as they try to facilitate further charter and other passage out of Afghanistan.”

The spokesman also noted that, “[g]iven these constraints, we also do not have a reliable means to confirm the basic details of charter flights, including who may be organizing them, the number of U.S. citizens and other priority groups on-board, the accuracy of the rest of the manifest, and where they plan to land, among many other issues.”
During an interview with Fox News host Chris Wallace, GOP Rep. Michael McCaul discussed the ongoing situation at the Mazar-i-Sharif airport where the six planes have been held up for days.
“In fact we have six airplanes at Mazar-i-Sharif airport, six airplanes, with American citizens on them as I speak, also with these interpreters, and the Taliban is holding them hostage for demands right now,” McCaul said.
“State has cleared these flights and the Taliban will not let them leave the airport,” he added. In a statement, the US State Department said: “We understand the concern that many people are feeling as they try to facilitate further charter and other passage out of Afghanistan. However, we do not have personnel on the ground, we do not have air assets in the country, we do not control the airspace – whether over Afghanistan or elsewhere in the region.”The spokesperson for the department said they did not have “reliable means to confirm the basic details of charter flights.”“We will hold the Taliban to its pledge to let people freely depart Afghanistan,” the spokesperson continued. “As with all Taliban commitments, we are focused on deeds not words, but we remind the Taliban that the entire international community is focused on whether they live up to their commitments.”
“They are not clearing the airplanes to depart,” McCaul said. “They’ve sat at the airport for the last couple days – these planes – and they’re not allowed to leave.”
“We know the reason why is because the Taliban want something in exchange,” he went on to say. “This is really, Chris, turning into a hostage situation where they’re not going to allow American citizens to leave until they get full recognition from the United States of America.”

The Taliban HAS been recognized by the USA…as a terrorist organization and supporter of same. They deserve nothing more.
we should WIPE THEM OUT! and get our people back home. next, the, so called president and the rest of his”administration”should be fired and the true president should be put in office
We should trade the Biden family for all the American hostages.
They are not worth anything to the Taliban…or to anyone else for that matter
I’m wondering about the refugees that are here in America. I was just informed that it is “Normal” for adult males to have wives as young as five years old… A FIVE YEAR OLD WIFE!?! How is that going to go over here in America!?! It’s nice to hear the refugees are being treated with Ivermectin, for their ailments. Looks like America Last is working! Unbelievable!!!
Airdrop several thousand troops to take control of the airport and get them out. Don’t try to convince any veterans that the American military is helpless in the face of ignorant goat herders. We won’t accept it.
