Leftist pundits and politicians in our country love to say there isn’t enough ‘dialogue’ in America these days to hash out differences because ‘the other side’ doesn’t really want one.
In fact, it’s the left that doesn’t want any discussion and we see them demonstrate as much on a near-daily basis.
‘Dialogue’ about the efficacy of dirty, overused, ill-fitting masks to ‘protect’ against COVID-19 transmission? Nah; the ‘science is settled.’ Anyone who disagrees is a right-wing kook and a moron.
‘Dialogue’ about ‘climate change’ and how activists have been warning for decades now — falsely, it turns out — that the world is going to burn up in a few years? Nah; the ‘science is settled.’ Human activity via the operation of modern factories, electric plants, and SUVs as well as cattle farts are changing the dynamic of the weather, period — and anyone who disagrees is a right-wing kook and a moron who wants to destroy the planet.
In fact, the left doesn’t even want to talk to conservatives, period. They don’t want to converse with us, debate us, discuss issues with us, or have to deal with us in any way, shape, or form. If they could literally kick us off the planet or better yet, lock us all up in gulags and watch us wither and die on their big-screen TVs every night, they’d go along happily.
A microcosm of the left’s inability to deal with anyone who does not share their worldview occurred in the entertainment (such as it is) world this week, as the Post Millennial reports:

The controversial billionaire CEO and SpaceX and Tesla magnate is scheduled to appear on Saturday Night Life on May 8 to host the show, and it appears that some actors and writers are less than pleased at the prospect of working with him.
“Speaking historically, if a cast member has been that unhappy, they don’t have to do it. [Lorne Michaels] won’t ever make them do anything they don’t want to do,” an anonymous source told the Post.
Wow. Remember when Saturday Night Live used to be funny? We do.
Aidy Bryant, long a show regular, retweeted a post from millionaire socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders that said, “the 50 wealthiest people in America today own more wealth than the bottom half of our people.”
“Only CEO I want to do a sketch with is Cher-E Oteri,” wrote Andrew Dismukes, a show writer, in reference to an ex-cast member, in another thinly veiled shot at Musk.
Yang took an even more blatant shot at the billionaire Tesla founder after Musk posted on Twitter, “Let’s find out just how live Saturday Night Live really is.”
“What the f**k does this even mean?” Yang said in response.
As of this writing, no cast member has formally pulled out of the program. But it’s clear that they have the option if they want to take it, which tells you everything about their ability to handle ‘diversity of thought.
