STUNNING: New Harvard Poll Finds Overwhelming Support for Trump Border Policies

The one issue most Americans — left, right, center — have consistently agreed upon is a safe and secure border.

Americans can and do disagree about a great many things, but territorial integrity among the vast majority of us isn’t up for discussion: We want it, period, and we don’t look kindly on presidential administrations who don’t deliver.

That helps explain the results of a remarkable new Harvard/Harris survey on the issue of illegal immigration and, specifically, the ongoing (and worsening) border crisis.

USA Features News has more:

An overwhelming majority of respondents in a new Harvard/Harris poll believe President Joe Biden’s border policies are an abject failure, leaving political analysts to suggest the issue will hurt Democrats soundly in next year’s midterms if he doesn’t reverse course.

The poll found that a vast majority — 80% — believe illegal immigration has become a serious issue.

Respondents also believe that the issue is important enough that Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris need to pay it more attention.

In addition, 68% said that the administration is sending signals that are encouraging more illegal immigration.

Meanwhile, 55% percent of respondents said they believe former President Donald Trump’s border measures ought to be put back in place or should have never been altered.

Pollster Mark Penn noted the significance, politically, of the findings.

“Immigration is boiling up as an issue,” he said.

That seems quite the understatement, given the results. And what’s more, voters are becoming more concerned about the remainder of the far-left Democratic Party’s agenda: Inflation, tax increases, and, of course, critical race theory.

Rising concerns over illegal immigration were at the center of Penn’s analysis of his June poll for Harvard’s Center for American Political Studies and the Harris Poll.

“Sixty-four percent of registered voters want the Biden administration to issue new, stricter policies to reduce the flow of people across the border,” Penn wrote.

“Only 7% of voters could accurately call out the amount of monthly illegal immigrants crossing into the U.S. with 84% underestimate the number, suggesting we should expect stronger voter reactions if the crisis evolves further,” he continued.

“Overall, 74% of voters view the current surge in illegal immigrants as a crisis that needs to be addressed immediately, and 56% do not view climate change, racism, and sexism as root causes of migration from South and Central America,” he added.

What’s more, Vice President Kamala Harris’ trip to the border, such as it was, on Friday isn’t going to help her either.

She’s being praised by the mainstream media, of course, because a) its journalists are propagandists for her party; and b) they’re afraid to criticize Madam VP because she’s a woman and a woman of color, at that.

But the Harvard/Harris poll also found that respondents gave her a failing grade following her visit to Guatemala earlier this month followed by a stop-over in Mexico, so she’s as underwater on her immigration bona fides as her boss is.

It might even be worse for Harris, since Biden dropped the border hot tater in her lap not long after the two of them took office.

In any event, without changing course, Democrats will pay for this invasion at the polls next year.
